Sightlines

Room with a view. These 4 words conjure up images of a sweeping shoreline, mountain panorama or a city skyline but not all views need be so dramatic to have an impact. Sight lines play an important part in interior design and paying attention to natural elements on site will ensure that a space makes the most of its contextual beauty. Windows can act as a frame to capture a view of an undulating branch or the texture of a rock face, creating a view that is both visually pleasing and calming. Equally important are interior sight lines, so paying attention to what is visible from key points will allow for a renovation to include visually appealing vignettes.
