Small is Big.
Monday, Feb 6, 2012

Small spaces are almost always synonymous with urban living, but ‘small’ need not be cramped and uncomfortable. We love the smart use of space in this hotel room. The open plan and charcoal glazing allows the eye to travel throughout the space, creating the illusion of more room. The bed’s headboard acts as both a desk and bedside table while the open closet allows for clothes to be hung and provides a horizontal place to drop shopping bags. The narrow built-in shelf under the window allows for storage below and personal items on top without compromising circulation space. The neutral colours, light flooring and the use of white also help to keep the space feeling bright, clean and open. A small space doesn’t need to feel confined. Sometimes small can be big.
